As of January 1, 2014, the Newburgh Utility Office will begin disconnecting water service for nonpayment of sewer bills. Delinquent accounts will receive a past due notice notifying them of possible disconnection at 45 days delinquent, and if payment is not made within 15 days from the date of the letter, water service will be subject to disconnection. The following ordinance states the fees associated with disconnection of water service for nonpayment of sewer.

Beginning January 1, 2014, the NSF fee for insufficient funds checks will increase to $25.00. The following is the ordinance allowing for the increase of this fee:

Beginning December 15, 2022, there will be a rejected payment fee of $10 on all attempted payments that are rejected by the Town's online payment servicer due to a data entry mistake made by the payer.
